Frequently Asked Questions.

I haven’t been able to afford a publicist in the past. Can I afford your services?

Probably! I don’t live in New York City and I don’t live on the West Coast; my expenses are significantly lower than most publicists who live in The Big Cities. Being able to publicize the work you’ve likely spent years writing is a part of the writing process no one tells you about, even if you’re published. My rates are customized to your project and your budget. Please, reach out!

Do you work with self-published or indie-published authors?

Yes! I’m an “equal opportunity” publicist. I believe that there is still a lot of negative stigma around self-published works and my expertise can help your book get seen! There are a lot of barriers to getting ‘in’ the publishing industry; I believe that a work’s quality is more important than who published it.

Do you work with unpublished authors?

Yes! If you’re working on a book or have a book written and aren’t sure what to do next, reach out to me. There are a lot of barriers to entry in the Official Publishing Industry, and I can to help writers at any stage in their career navigate that. I can offer insight on agenting, self-publishing verses indie-publishing verses traditional publishing, and editorial services.

Do you only work with authors?

No! I have clients who are publishers and am excited to work on a book campaign with publishers of any size.

Will you manage my social media account for me?

Probably not. Managing social media is a behemoth and it’s very individualized to every client depending on their personal “brand.” As part of a publicity campaign, I create social media assets and set up schedules for them to post. I do not usually manage their accounts. If we develop a long-term client relationship and it makes sense for me to take over your social media, than I’m happy to do that. Otherwise, I am not currently interested in managing social media accounts.
